A famous tourist destination and American cultural touchstone, Las Vegas, NV, has a reputation for being a high-rolling, exciting city full of opportunities to win big. But did you know that Las Vegas is also a booming business destination and a great place to start your career? In addition to having no state income tax, Nevada has a low cost of living compared to many states on the East and West Coasts. We recently opened a new office in Las Vegas and we’re always looking for new people to join our sales and support teams—read on for four reasons why you should work in Las Vegas.
1. Close to the Las Vegas Strip
Dazzling neon lights, bustling casinos, swanky restaurants, giant fountains—when someone says “Las Vegas,” you likely conjure up images like these first. Our office is located only blocks away from where many of these places are found: the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, located right in the heart of the city.
While gambling is synonymous with Las Vegas, there’s much more to the strip than hitting the blackjack table. Working in Las Vegas gives you access to outlets and luxury shops, Michelin Star restaurants, and fun sporting events, concerts, and other exciting entertainment that are right on the strip.
With so much so close, your weekends and post-workday adventures are only limited by your imagination and interests.
2. Plenty of Outdoor Recreation
Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas? The city is located in the middle of the Mojave Desert, which means there’s an abundance of interesting natural wonders and fun outdoor activities only a drive outside of the city limits.
Lake Mead is only a 45-minute drive to the east, offering amazing views of mountains and canyons and places for you and your friends and family to hike, swim, fish and camp. To the west of the city is the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, which is known for a 13-mile scenic drive that wanders through the colorful and rocky desert terrain.
3. Nearby Areas and Cities of Interest
Las Vegas is located in the middle of a desert, but it’s still relatively close to some major areas of interest. When you live and work in Las Vegas, you’ll only be a drive away from some high-profile sights and cities:
- Las Vegas, NV to Los Angeles, CA: 4 hours 7 minutes by car, approx. 270 miles
- Las Vegas, NV to Lake Mead, NV: 38 minutes by car, approx. 31 miles
- Las Vegas, NV to Death Valley National Park, CA: 1 hour and 53 minutes by car, approx. 126 miles
4. Barton’s Office and Extended Hours
We opened our newest Las Vegas office in 2023, a fully-renovated space that has many of the same amenities our other offices across the country have. What separates the Las Vegas office from the others, however, is its extended office hours. The office is open for a Saturday shift, which allows for greater schedule flexibility and earning potential.
