You might know West Palm Beach, FL as a popular vacation destination, but did you know that it’s also lauded as a booming center of business and industry? In fact, Forbes ranks West Palm Beach as the 37th best city in the entire United States for business and careers. We’re constantly looking for new talent to join our team in West Palm Beach—read on to learn four reasons why you should build a new career with us in the Sunshine State.
1. Close to Atlantic Ocean Beaches and other Florida Cities
Our West Palm Beach office is located just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, so working in this sun-kissed city means you’ll have access to a wide stretch of beaches to sunbathe and swim at. Some of the closer beaches are located to the east in Palm Beach and Palm Beach Shores, and include Palm Beach and Riviera Beach.
Not only do these areas have sandy beaches, but they also sport golf courses—such as the Palm Beach Country Club—and other attractions. West Palm Beach is also close to other cities of note in Florida:
- West Palm Beach, FL to Miami, FL: 1 hour 20 minutes by car, approx. 72 miles
- West Palm Beach, FL to Fort Myers, FL: 2 hours 36 minutes by car, approx. 123 miles
- West Palm Beach, FL to Orlando, FL: 2 hours 30 minutes by car, approx. 168 miles
- West Palm Beach, FL to Tampa, FL: 3 hours 30 minutes by car, approx. 204 miles
2. A Bustling and Fun Downtown Area
Barton’s office in West Palm Beach, FL, is just down the road from CityPlace, a neighborhood in the city renowned for its restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife. But CityPlace isn’t all just food and drinks, there’s also a decent art scene in the area, as well.
Take the Armory Art Center for example: this cultural center hosts art classes for all ages, meaning you can take up another hobby pretty easily after a hard day at work! Want to check out a concert? The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is also located in the neighborhood, and hosts shows throughout the year.
3. Natural Wonders Are Only a Drive Away
When you’re working and living in West Palm Beach, the ocean is just five miles away from the front door of our office, but Florida has many more natural attractions than just that. For example, a two hour drive south will bring you right into the Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the U.S. that’s composed of over 1.5 million acres of wetlands and forests.
If you’re not looking to drive far away, the Mounts Botanical Garden, Palm Beach County’s largest and oldest botanical garden, is located right near our office.
4. Barton’s Spacious Office
Barton’s first Florida office was located in Jupiter, but we outgrew that space in 2016 and moved our team to a new, massive 45,000-square-foot location at 501 Village Boulevard in West Palm Beach. Once a former gym, our WPB office was gutted and renovated to become one of our company’s homes in the southern U.S.
In addition to being a big place where you can grow your career, our West Palm Beach office is minutes away from the Palm Beach International Airport, opening the door for simple travel across the world.
