Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Arkansas. This 25-day assignment starts on 06/02/2025, with ongoing coverage beginning in June 2025. The schedule offers flexibility with either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 6 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a heavy caseload of Orthopedic and OB/GYN procedures, excluding cardiac and neurosurgical cases. The CRNA will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care, collaborating with surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

LOA: 25 days initially, with potential for extension

Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts (8 AM - 5 PM) or 4 x 10-hour shifts (8 AM - 6 PM)


Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide anesthesia care for Orthopedic and OB/GYN procedures 

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia plans 

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures 

• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia 

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals 

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Meditech EHR 

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Adapt to flexible scheduling options (5 x 8-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts)


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice as a CRNA in Arkansas 

• Experience with Meditech EHR system preferred 

• Strong clinical skills in Orthopedic and OB/GYN anesthesia 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a surgical team 

• Comfortable managing a high volume of cases 

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 25 days
