We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Iowa. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 05/31/2025, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. This role requires expertise in post-procedure follow-ups, potential future procedures, and conducting 3-month and 6-month follow-up appointments. The selected provider will also be responsible for cardiac clearances for minor surgeries. The assignment utilizes Cerner electronic health records system and offers the potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct post-procedure follow-up appointments 

• Evaluate patients for potential future cardiac procedures 

• Perform 3-month and 6-month follow-up examinations 

• Provide cardiac clearances for minor surgeries 

• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies 

• Develop and implement treatment plans for cardiac patients 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Cerner EHR 

• Provide patient education on heart health and disease prevention 

• Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiology

Additional Information: 

• Iowa medical license required 

• Experience with Cerner EHR preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential 

• Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload
