Length of Assignment: 224 days

Facility Type: Hospital

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (half-day Fridays), one weeknight call per week, 1:6 weekend call


Job Summary:

A hospital in Maryland is seeking a locum tenens Cardiologist to join their team for a 224-day assignment starting in March 2025. The ideal candidate will be available for full-time clinic hours with additional on-call responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

- Provide cardiology services in an outpatient clinic setting

- See new patients and conduct follow-up appointments

- Perform and interpret nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, and stress tests

- Read echocardiograms and EKGs during weekend call

- Manage one weeknight of call per week and 1:6 weekend call rotation


Requirements:

- Board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist

- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system

- Ability to work full-time (4 weeks/month preferred, 2 weeks/month considered)

- Comfortable with outpatient clinic and on-call duties

- Experience in reading echocardiograms and EKGs


Additional Information:

- TEE procedures not required

- Potential for assignment extension

- EMR System: Cerner
