Barton Associates is seeking a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Missouri. This 22-day assignment is spread across multiple dates from 06/26/2025 to 09/08/2025, with shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a CTICU environment, managing pre and post-operative care, ECMO, and CT surgery patients. Responsibilities include floor work, CTICU management, and documentation. Experience with Epic EMR is preferred, and an active Missouri nursing license is required. This position offers the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Schedule: Day shifts, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide critical care to CTICU patients during day shifts 

• Manage pre and post-operative care for CT surgery patients 

• Handle ECMO cases and related procedures 

• Perform floor work and CTICU management 

• Complete documentation for patient care (attending present on Wednesdays and Thursdays) 

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management 

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and follow-up 

• Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in critical care medicine 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Participate in any required departmental meetings or training sessions

Additional Information: 

• Active Missouri license required 

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred 

• Flexibility to work across multiple dates from June to September 2025
