Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position in California. This 7-day assignment spans from April 30 to June 27, 2025, with varying schedules at different locations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of dental procedures, including routine exams, cleanings, basic extractions, restorations, crowns and bridges, anterior root canals, and dentures. This role involves providing comprehensive dental care in a community health setting, serving patients of all ages in both walk-in and appointment-based capacities. There is also potential for assignment extension.


Job Details: 

Location: California (multiple locations) 

Facility Type: Clinic 

Start Date: 04/30/2025 

LOA: 7 days 

Provider Type Needed: Dentist 

Schedule: Varies by location (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm)


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform routine dental exams and x-rays 

• Conduct dental cleanings and gum disease treatments 

• Carry out basic extractions and dental fillings 

• Provide crown and bridge services 

• Perform anterior root canals 

• Fit and adjust dentures and stay plates 

• Diagnose and treat various dental conditions 

• Develop and implement treatment plans 

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix system 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members 

• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols 

• Manage patient flow in both walk-in and appointment-based settings


Additional Information: 

• California dental license required 

• Experience in community health settings preferred 

• Strong skills in general dentistry procedures essential 

• Excellent communication and patient care skills 

• Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient loads
