Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Dental Clinic in Colorado. This 26-day assignment begins on 05/01/2025, with a Thursday and Friday schedule. Thursdays run from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, while Fridays are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general dentistry, comfortable with some endodontic procedures, and capable of providing same-day treatments. While complex cases may be referred out, the dentist should be able to handle a wide range of general dentistry cases. There is also a chance for an extension with this job.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop treatment plans 

• Provide a wide range of general dentistry services 

• Conduct same-day treatments as needed 

• Perform some endodontic procedures 

• Diagnose and treat various dental conditions 

• Utilize Dentrix practice management software for documentation 

• Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members 

• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of dental equipment 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental best practices and techniques 

• Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health and treatment options 

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Refer complex cases to specialists when necessary


Requirements: 

• Active Colorado state dental license 

• Experience in general dentistry, including same-day treatments 

• Proficiency in endodontic procedures 

• Ability to manage a diverse range of general dentistry cases 

• Proficiency in Dentrix dental practice management software 

• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered dental care
