Locum Tenens Dentist - Georgia Needed in GA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position with a mobile dentistry unit in Georgia. This 11-day assignment is split into two periods: May 27-29 and September 2-11, 2025, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of general dentistry, including hygiene checks, dentures, partials, crowns, bridges, fillings, and simple extractions. Experience with endodontics and Invisalign is a plus. This unique role offers an opportunity to provide dental care in a mobile setting, serving patients in two nearby locations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning 

• Conduct hygiene checks and provide preventive care 

• Fabricate and fit dentures and partial dentures 

• Prepare and place crowns, bridges, and fillings 

• Perform simple tooth extractions 

• Manage patient care and follow-up appointments 

• Utilize Denticon software for patient record management 

• Adapt to working in a mobile dentistry unit 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists 

• Educate patients on oral health and hygiene practices 

• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction throughout dental procedures 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry 

• Perform endodontic procedures and Invisalign treatments if qualified (not required)

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Georgia 

• Experience with mobile or community dentistry preferred 

• Comfortable working in different locations (3 weeks in one location, 1 week in another) 

• Strong clinical skills in general dentistry procedures 

• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team 

• Flexibility to work in a mobile clinic environment
