A dentistry clinic in Iowa is seeking a Dentist for a locum tenens position starting 05/01/2025. This 21-day assignment requires coverage on specific dates in May, with varying hours Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with general dentistry procedures, extractions, and dentures. As the sole provider during these shifts, the locum tenens dentist will be responsible for managing all patient care, including examinations, treatments, and procedures.

Schedule: 8a - 6p and other similar shifts from Mondays - Fridays

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform general dentistry procedures 

• Conduct dental examinations and develop treatment plans 

• Carry out tooth extractions 

• Fit and adjust dentures 

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Manage all aspects of patient care as the sole provider during shifts 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations 

• Maintain a clean and sterile working environment

Additional Information: 

• Must be a licensed Dentist with active Iowa dental license 

• Experience with extractions and dentures is essential 

• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient load 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
