We are seeking a Dentist for a locum tenens position at a dental clinic in Illinois. This 58-day assignment begins on 05/21/2025, with a potential for extension. The schedule varies, with work days from Monday to Thursday. The role requires expertise in general dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with Dentrix software and able to provide general dental care in a clinic setting.

Schedule: Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (first patient at 9:00 AM) Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (first patient at 11:00 AM, team meeting 10:00-10:45 AM) Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (first patient at 8:00 AM) Specific dates: May 21, 22, 27, 28, 29; June 3, 4, 5 June 9th - September 2nd: Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental exams and develop treatment plans 

• Conduct general dentistry procedures including fillings, crowns, and bridges 

• Perform endodontic procedures such as root canals 

• Carry out oral surgery procedures as needed 

• Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record-keeping 

• Attend team meetings and collaborate with dental staff 

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Manage emergency dental situations 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying schedules 

• Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach 

• Current Illinois dental license required
