Job Description

A dental clinic in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Dentist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment starting 05/05/2025. This role involves providing general dental care, including hygiene checks, fillings, crowns and bridges, and simple extractions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable with OpenDental EMR.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and hygiene checks 

• Conduct dental procedures including fillings, crowns, and bridges 

• Carry out simple extractions as needed 

• Develop and implement treatment plans 

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using OpenDental software 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction 

• Manage time efficiently to meet daily patient schedules 

• Stay updated with current dental practices and technologies
