Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in New Mexico. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/12/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have expertise in General Dentistry, including molar endodontics and extractions. Initially, the role will focus on administrative work, transitioning to patient care around the first week of June. The work schedule offers flexibility with either four 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday) or five 8-hour days (Monday-Friday). As a locum tenens provider, you will be responsible for setting up operations, delivering high-quality dental care, and collaborating with the clinic staff to ensure smooth operations during your coverage period. 


Job Details: 

Location: New Mexico 

Facility Type: Clinic 

Start Date: 05/12/2025 

LOA: 120 days (with potential for extension) 

Provider Type Needed: Dentist 

Schedule: 10 hour shifts for 4 days per week, or 8 hour shifts for 5 days per week


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Initially focus on administrative tasks to set up operations
  • Transition to providing comprehensive general dentistry services by early June
  • Perform molar endodontics and extractions
  • Diagnose and treat various dental conditions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and treatment plans
