We are seeking a skilled General Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in New York. Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and hygiene checks 

• Conduct general dental procedures including crowns, fillings, and simple extractions 

• Place dental implants, torque screws, and remove healing pads 

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans 

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Interpret dental X-rays and diagnostic tests 

• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software 

• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction throughout dental visits 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental techniques and practices 

• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in New York 

• Experience with Dentrix dental practice management software preferred 

• Strong expertise in general dentistry procedures 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team 

• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination 

• Root canal experience is a plus 

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 16 days
