Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Dental Clinic in Ohio. This 44-day assignment begins on 04/21/2025, with a primary schedule of Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the option to work additional days if desired. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of dental procedures, including root canals, extractions, fillings, crown and bridge work, and dentures. Experience with implants is a plus. There is also a chance for an extension with this job. 


Job Details:

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional days available)


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop treatment plans 

• Conduct root canal procedures

 • Perform tooth extractions 

• Provide fillings and restorative treatments 

• Carry out crown and bridge work 

• Fit and adjust dentures 

• Perform dental implant procedures (if experienced) 

• Conduct hygiene appointments as needed 

• Utilize Dentrix practice management software for documentation 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members 

• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of dental equipment 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental best practices and techniques 

• Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health and treatment options

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Manage time efficiently to accommodate scheduled patients and procedures


Requirements: 

• Active Ohio state dental license 

• Experience in general dentistry, including root canals, extractions, and restorative work 

• Willingness to perform hygiene duties 

• Proficiency in Dentrix dental practice management software 

• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered dental care
