We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Dental Clinic in Virginia. This 19-day assignment starts on 06/23/2025, with a varied schedule throughout the week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of general dentistry, providing comprehensive dental care to patients. Provider Type Needed: General Dentist 

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday 8am-5pm; Tuesday, Thursday 7am-4pm; Friday 8am-1pm

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning 

• Conduct routine dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges 

• Provide preventive care and patient education on oral hygiene 

• Diagnose and treat various dental conditions 

• Perform simple and complex tooth extractions as needed 

• Manage periodontal treatments and therapies 

• Fabricate and fit dental prosthetics including dentures and partial dentures 

• Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and scheduling 

• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care 

• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Maintain a clean and sterile working environment 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry 

• Provide emergency dental care when required 

• Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health and treatment options

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Virginia 

• Experience with Dentrix software preferred but not required 

• Strong clinical skills in all aspects of general dentistry 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team 

• Comfortable working with patients of all ages 

• Flexibility to adapt to the clinic's schedule and patient needs 

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 19 days
