Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for an urgent 60-day locum tenens position at a clinic in California. The ideal schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, but flexible schedules will be considered due to the urgent nature of this assignment. Starting 05/12/2025, this role involves a wide range of dermatological responsibilities including patient consultations, skin exams, minor procedures, follow-up care, cosmetic procedures, wound care, and assisting in MOHS surgeries. The successful candidate will conduct initial patient interviews, review medical histories, perform thorough skin checks, and make diagnoses based on assessments. This position requires an active California license and proficiency with EMA electronic health records system.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct patient consultations and initial interviews 

• Perform comprehensive skin exams and checks 

• Diagnose and treat various skin conditions 

• Carry out minor dermatological procedures 

• Provide follow-up care and wound care 

• Assist in MOHS surgeries 

• Perform cosmetic procedures 

• Review and analyze patient medical histories 

• Utilize EMA electronic health records system 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals 

• Educate patients on skin health and preventive measures

Required Qualifications: 

• Current Nurse Practitioner license with Dermatology specialization
