Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Alaska. Starting on 05/12/2025, this assignment requires coverage Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in basic family practice, including well child checks, adult visits, women's health, chronic care management, and urgent care follow-ups. This role offers a comprehensive range of primary care responsibilities, with 20-minute patient visits and the opportunity for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
• Conduct well child checks and well adult visits
• Manage women's health concerns
• Handle chronic care cases, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
• Treat acute illnesses and perform sick visits
• Manage urgent care follow-ups
• Perform minor procedures such as suture removal
• Utilize Athenahealth electronic health record system
• Work independently as the sole provider during shifts
• Maintain efficient 20-minute patient visits

Additional Information:

• Alaska Nurse Practitioner license required
• Experience in family practice and primary care settings preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills essential
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
