Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in California. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive primary care services starting 05/01/2025, for a duration of 60 days. The schedule is 8:30am-5:30pm, 4-5 days a week, with Fridays being mandatory. The NP will be responsible for managing a wide range of family practice cases, including physicals, respiratory illnesses, diabetes, hypertension, acute and chronic care, and STIs. There may also be opportunities to handle women's health cases and perform minor procedures such as incision and drainage, depending on the provider's comfort level.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations for patients of all ages 

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as colds, cough, and flu 

• Manage chronic conditions including diabetes and hypertension 

• Provide acute and chronic care services 

• Diagnose and treat sexually transmitted infections 

• Perform women's health services, if comfortable 

• Conduct minor procedures like incision and drainage, as needed 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EMR 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards 

• Adapt to the clinic's workflow and patient management systems


Additional Information: 

• California Nurse Practitioner license required 

• Experience in family practice essential 

• Comfort with managing diverse patient populations and conditions 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment 

• Flexibility to work 4-5 days per week, with Fridays being mandatory 

• Potential for assignment extension
