Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in California. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/05/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30am to 5:30pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in primary care for adults and pediatrics, with a focus on family medicine. Spanish speaking ability is required. There is also potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for adults and pediatric patients 

• Conduct patient examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans 

• Perform routine health screenings and preventive care 

• Manage chronic conditions and coordinate patient care 

• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate 

• Utilize Epic (ochin) electronic health record system for documentation 

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family practice best practices and treatment guidelines


Requirements: 

• Active California state license 

• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner 

• Experience in family medicine, with a focus on adult and pediatric care 

• Fluency in Spanish 

• Proficiency in Epic (ochin) electronic health record system 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Flexibility to adapt to a multi-specialty clinic environment
