We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in California. This 120-day assignment, with potential for a 6-month or longer extension, starts on 04/28/2025. The schedule offers flexibility with either five 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) or four 10-hour shifts per week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a wide range of family practice duties, including routine GYN cases, birth control management, prenatal and postpartum care, and general preventive medicine. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, from newborns to adults.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive family medicine care for patients of all ages
• Perform routine gynecological procedures, including Pap smears
• Insert and manage birth control methods, including Nexplanon and IUDs
• Conduct prenatal and postpartum care
• Perform newborn circumcisions (desirable but not required)
• Carry out physical examinations and health screenings
• Administer vaccinations and provide disease prevention counseling
• Order, perform, and review laboratory tests as needed
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks EHR system
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists as needed
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in family medicine
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
• Board certification in Family Medicine required
• Experience with eClinicalWorks electronic health record system preferred
• Strong clinical skills in family practice and women's health
• Comfortable managing a diverse range of primary care cases
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Flexibility to commit to a longer-term assignment (6+ months preferred)
