Barton Associates is seeking a Family Practice physician for a locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in rural California. This opportunity involves providing care starting 06/02/2025, for a duration of 80 days. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 9am to 2pm. The physician will act as a floater, traveling between multiple clinic locations as needed. Responsibilities include managing a wide range of cases from general family medicine to prenatal and postnatal care, excluding deliveries. Proficiency with Nextgen EMR is also required.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive family medicine care in a rural setting
• Manage a wide range of cases including colds, flu, hypertension, and diabetes
• Conduct wellness checks and preventive care visits
• Handle minor injuries and urgent care needs
• Perform women's health services, including IUD insertions
• Provide prenatal and postnatal care (deliveries not required)
• Adapt to varying patient needs across multiple clinic locations
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Nextgen EMR
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting
• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards
• Work efficiently with 20-minute appointment blocks (40 minutes for new patients)
• Travel between clinic locations as needed
Additional Information:
• Any state medical license accepted
• Experience in rural family medicine preferred
• Comfort with a diverse range of medical conditions and patient demographics
• Ability to work independently in various clinic settings
• Recent and proficient experience with Nextgen EMR required
