 We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in a rural area of California. This 120-day assignment, starting 11/10/2025, requires coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The physician will provide comprehensive family medicine services, including managing common illnesses, conducting wellness checks, treating injuries, and offering preventive care. The role also involves pre-natal and post-natal care, though deliveries are not required. As the only medical facility in the area, the physician should be prepared to handle a wide scope of cases. The position involves acting as a floater and traveling between locations, using Nextgen EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide general family medicine services in a rural setting

• Manage a wide range of cases including cold, cough, flu, hypertension, and diabetes

• Offer women's health services, including IUD insertions

• Provide pre-natal and post-natal care (deliveries not required)

• Treat minor injuries and acute conditions

• Schedule patients in 20-minute blocks (40 minutes for new patients)

• Utilize Nextgen EMR system for patient documentation and management

• Adapt to working as a floater, traveling between different locations as needed

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting

• Ensure high-quality patient care in a rural environment

• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

• Any state medical license will be accepted

• Recent and proficient experience with Nextgen EMR required
