Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in MI

Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Family Practice Physician to fill a critical locum tenens position at a clinic in Michigan. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/05/2025, with a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of patient needs, including cold, cough, and flu symptoms, as well as providing chronic care management. There is also potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages 

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses, including cold, cough, and flu 

• Manage chronic conditions and develop long-term care plans 

• Conduct routine check-ups and preventive care visits 

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results 

• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate 

• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient care 

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using RPMS 

• Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety procedures 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Michigan 

• Experience in family practice or similar primary care settings required 

• Familiarity with IHS (Indian Health Service) patients preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team 

• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and clinic demands
