Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Montana. This opportunity offers a 120-day assignment starting 05/13/2025, with a unique 4-day work week schedule rotating over a 4-week cycle. The ideal candidate will provide primary medical care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on general practice medicine and utilizing consultative resources. Responsibilities include scheduled clinic times, rounds on clinical units, unscheduled unit visits, and on-call duties. T


he role requires performing initial patient evaluations within 24 hours and working with paper charts and dictation systems.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide primary medical care to adult and geriatric patients
  • Conduct scheduled clinic appointments and rounds on clinical units
  • Respond to unscheduled visits to units as needed
  • Perform initial patient evaluations within 24 hours of admission
  • Utilize consultative resources in the practice of medicine
  • Manage on-call duties during after-hours periods
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using paper charts
  • Dictate patient notes and reports as required
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ensure high-quality care and patient safety standards are met
