Barton Associates is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity involves providing services at a hospital setting, starting 07/07/2025, for a duration of 60 days. The schedule is to be determined with the client and provider, typically running from 8 am to 5 pm. The role focuses on both inpatient and outpatient care, with a significant emphasis on inpatient call coverage. Responsibilities include performing colonoscopies and endoscopies under conscious sedation, as well as managing upper and lower GI procedures. Applicants should also be comfortable with the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in inpatient and outpatient settings 

• Perform colonoscopies and endoscopies using conscious sedation 

• Manage upper and lower GI procedures 

• Handle inpatient call responsibilities 

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams 

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards 

• Adapt to both scheduled procedures and on-call duties
