A hospital in Missouri is seeking a General Surgeon for a locum tenens position starting 06/01/2025. This 28-day assignment requires coverage for 24/7 call, with no clinic hours, for one week per month. The ideal candidate should have experience with C-sections, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, hernias, appendectomies, and gallbladder procedures. Job Details:

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for surgical emergencies 

• Perform various surgical procedures, including C-sections, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, appendectomies, and gallbladder surgeries 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Utilize Meditech EHR system for documentation and patient management 

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures 

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information: 

• Must be board-certified in General Surgery 

• Active Missouri medical license required 

• Experience with C-sections is essential 

• Familiarity with Meditech EHR is preferred
