Barton Associates is working with a client to fill a locum tenens Geriatric Nurse Practitioner position in a multi-specialty clinic's PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. This opportunity offers a chance to provide comprehensive care for elderly patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services for geriatric patients in the PACE program

• Manage common conditions such as colds, cough, flu, diabetes, and hypertension

• Conduct wellness checks and preventive care visits

• Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic conditions common in elderly patients

• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans

• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation

• Be prepared to float to a second PACE location if needed


The ideal candidate will be comfortable with geriatric care, proficient in using Epic EMR, and able to manage extensive documentation. The ability to work with a largely Spanish-speaking patient population (75%) is beneficial, though translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants are available.
