Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Internal Medicine with a strong psychiatric background for a locum tenens assignment in Colorado. This opportunity involves providing care at multiple assisted living facilities, starting 04/28/2025, for a duration of 240 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The NP will be responsible for managing geriatric cases, monitoring patients' mental health, rounding on patients, conducting new patient exams, and charting. This role requires travel between multiple locations, so the ideal candidate must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Manage geriatric cases in assisted living settings 

• Monitor and address patients' mental health needs 

• Conduct rounds on patients across multiple facilities 

• Perform new patient examinations and assessments 

• Complete thorough and accurate charting using PointClickCare EMR 

• Provide comprehensive care combining internal medicine and psychiatric expertise 

• Collaborate with facility staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Adapt to the unique needs of elderly patients in assisted living environments 

• Travel between multiple locations as required 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards


Additional Information: 

• Colorado Nurse Practitioner license required 

• Strong psychiatric background is essential for this position 

• Experience in geriatric care preferred 

• Comfort with managing both medical and mental health issues in elderly patients 

• Willingness and ability to travel between multiple facilities
