Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens position in Utah. Starting on 04/07/2025, this assignment offers a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing cold, cough, and flu cases, conducting physicals, handling sick visits, and performing suturing procedures. This unique role involves traveling between retirement communities to provide care. The position utilizes Athenahealth EMR system and offers the potential for extension beyond the initial 60-day period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide primary care services to residents in multiple retirement communities
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses, including cold, cough, and flu
  • Perform routine physical examinations and health screenings
  • Manage acute and chronic health conditions
  • Conduct sick visits and provide appropriate treatments
  • Perform minor procedures, including suturing
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR system for patient documentation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and staff at retirement communities
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Demonstrate flexibility in traveling between different retirement communities


Additional Information:


  • Utah nurse practitioner license required
