Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide interventional cardiology services in both clinic and hospital settings
• Perform a variety of interventional procedures, including balloon pumps and Impella device placement
• Manage 24-hour call coverage for nights and weekends
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups in the outpatient clinic
• Interpret cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in emergency cardiac care and interventions
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac health and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Strong clinical skills in interventional cardiology procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with high-acuity cases and emergency interventions
• Flexibility to work 2-4 weeks per month with varying schedules
• Note: TAVR procedures are not currently performed at this facility
• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 42 days
