Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide care for sick newborns in a NICU
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, UAC and UVC placements, PICC lines, and chest tubes
• Manage ventilators and ECMO
• Conduct needle aspirations, arterial and venous punctures, and urine catheterization
• Attend deliveries and C-sections
• Manage 6-14 patients per shift
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation
• Collaborate with neonatologists and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure prompt and effective care for critically ill newborns
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in neonatology
Additional Information:
• Maryland state Nurse Practitioner license required
• Strong experience in NICU care essential
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
