 We are seeking a skilled Neonatologist Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Maryland. This 72-day assignment offers a mix of 24-hour weekend shifts and 16-hour weeknight shifts, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing nursery coverage as the sole physician, with proficiency in neonatal resuscitation procedures. NRP and STABLE certifications are required. Responsibilities include rounding and resuscitating neonates, with 12 shifts to be covered each month. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide critical neonatal care in a hospital setting, with potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide nursery coverage as the sole physician

• Perform neonatal resuscitation procedures

• Conduct rounds on neonatal patients

• Manage and treat critically ill newborns

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers

• Communicate effectively with families and caregivers

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Cerner EMR system

• Ensure high-quality patient care and follow all hospital protocols and safety standards

• Adapt to the hospital's existing workflows and practices

• Participate in any necessary training or certification courses


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Maryland
