Locum Tenens OB/GYN - California Needed in CA

Barton Associates is seeking an OB/GYN physician for a locum tenens assignment at a hospital in California. This opportunity involves providing 24-hour clinic and call coverage for 8 days, starting 12/22/2025. The physician will be responsible for managing a full range of obstetric and gynecological care, including attending all deliveries and responding to ER consults. The facility also features a Nursery and a Family Birth Center with LDRP rooms.

Schedule: 24-hour clinic and call coverage (8am-8am)

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care 

• Attend all deliveries, including C-sections 

• Respond to ER consults for OB/GYN cases 

• Manage both routine and high-risk pregnancies 

• Perform gynecological procedures as needed 

• Provide care in LDRP rooms and Level 1 Nursery 

• Handle obstetric and gynecological emergencies 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EMR system 

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards 

• Adapt to the hospital's protocols and procedures for OB/GYN care 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a 24-hour care environment

Additional Information: 

• California medical license required 

• Experience in comprehensive OB/GYN care essential 

• Comfort with managing diverse and complex OB/GYN cases 

• Ability to work 24-hour call shifts 

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic 

• Potential for assignment extension beyond the initial 8 days
