We are seeking a licensed OB/GYN Physician in New Mexico for a locum tenens position at a Hospital. This 42-day assignment begins on 06/02/2025, with a Monday to Friday clinic schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, plus 24-hour call coverage. The physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including managing a birth control clinic on Fridays, performing IUD removals and colposcopy procedures in the clinic, and handling after-hour calls. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient care, utilizing the Cerner EMR system. The position also offers the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care 

• Manage birth control clinic on Fridays 

• Perform IUD removals and colposcopy procedures in the clinic 

• Handle 24-hour call coverage for obstetric emergencies 

• Conduct prenatal and postnatal care visits 

• Perform gynecological surgeries as needed 

• Manage high-risk pregnancies and deliveries 

• Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient management 

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to hospital protocols 

• Provide patient education on women's health issues and family planning

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico 

• Strong skills in both obstetrics and gynecology required 

• Comfortable with managing a diverse range of OB/GYN cases 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in both clinic and hospital settings
