Barton Associates is seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a 9-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Tennessee. Starting on 05/05/2025, this position requires 24-hour coverage for specific dates in May. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with deliveries, C-sections, and emergency GYN cases. The facility has labor and delivery rooms and a dedicated OR for C-sections. This opportunity offers a mix of in-house and on-call responsibilities, including potential proctoring of an FPOB in C-sections.

Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7am-7am) on 5/9-5/12 and 5/24-5/27

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage labor and delivery cases, including C-sections
• Handle emergency gynecological cases as needed
• Oversee deliveries for pregnancies 35 weeks or over
• Coordinate with in-house ultrasound services (available until 5pm)
• Collaborate with on-call CRNAs (within 30 minutes)
• Potentially proctor an FPOB in C-section procedures
• Utilize Medhost electronic health record system
• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate transfers when necessary
• Ensure quality patient care in labor and delivery and gynecological services

Additional Information:

• Tennessee medical license required
• Experience with a diverse range of obstetric and gynecological procedures preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
• Ability to work independently during 24-hour shifts
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient loads and emergency situations
