A clinic in Alaska is seeking a Medical Oncologist for a locum tenens position starting 06/16/2025. This 10-day assignment requires coverage Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with chemotherapy administration, performing biopsies/bone marrow procedures, and managing a diverse range of oncology cases, with a focus on breast and prostate cancer. The provider will utilize the Mosaiq EMR system for patient management and documentation. This opportunity also offers the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Administer and manage chemotherapy treatments 

• Perform biopsies and bone marrow procedures 

• Provide comprehensive care for various oncology cases, with emphasis on breast and prostate cancer 

• Conduct infusion services 

• Offer oncology consultations 

• Manage patient follow-ups and ongoing care 

• Utilize Mosaiq system for documentation and patient management 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Stay updated on the latest oncology treatments and research

Additional Information: 

• Must be a board-certified Medical Oncologist 

• Active Alaska medical license required 

• Experience with a wide range of oncology cases, especially breast and prostate cancer 

• Familiarity with Mosaiq system is preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
