The assignment begins on 07/07/2025, with a schedule of Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM weekly. The optometrist will be responsible for contact lens fitting, foreign body removal, routine eye exams, glaucoma checks, cataract evaluations, emergency visits for eye infections and pink eye, and pre-operative visits. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations with and without dilation
• Conduct contact lens fittings and follow-up appointments
• Remove foreign bodies from the eye
• Perform glaucoma screenings and management
• Evaluate patients for cataracts and provide appropriate recommendations
• Handle emergency eye care visits, including infections and pink eye
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and consultations
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Additional Information:
• Alaska state optometry license required
