Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist for a locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in Pennsylvania. This 48-day assignment begins on 05/19/2025, with a flexible schedule of any two consecutive days per week (Tuesday through Friday) from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with contact lenses, glasses, and eye exams. All medical cases and emergencies will be referred out. This opportunity also offers the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams for 2-3 patients per hour 

• Prescribe and fit contact lenses and glasses as needed  

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Provide patient education on eye health and vision care 

• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure efficient patient flow 

• Refer medical cases and emergencies to appropriate specialists 

• Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in optometry
