Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Orthodontist for a 36-day locum tenens position at dental clinics in Texas. The assignment begins on 06/02/2025, with a flexible schedule of any three consecutive days per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM. The orthodontist will rotate between three locations. Responsibilities include supervising facial growth in children, diagnosing and treating malocclusions, creating treatment plans for braces and retainers, and performing teeth straightening procedures. This opportunity offers a chance to work in multiple clinic settings, utilizing the Dentrix practice management system. The position also offers the possibility of assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive orthodontic care 

• Supervise facial growth (jawline and bite) in children 

• Diagnose and treat misaligned teeth and jaws (malocclusion) 

• Create treatment plans including braces and retainers 

• Perform teeth straightening procedures 

• Install orthodontic appliances 

• Conduct follow-up appointments and adjustments 

• Utilize Dentrix practice management system for documentation 

• Collaborate with other dental professionals as needed 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Adhere to clinic protocols and safety standards 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthodontics 

• Educate patients and parents on orthodontic care and maintenance


Additional Information: 

• Texas state dental license required 

• Strong experience in orthodontics essential 

• Familiarity with Dentrix practice management system preferred 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in multiple clinic settings 

• Flexibility to rotate between three locations
