Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic surgery patients
• Manage care for patients undergoing total joint replacements, knee/hip replacements, and fracture treatments
• Conduct patient consultations and handle new admissions
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and management
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and rehabilitation
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Additional Information:
• Experience in orthopedic surgery care required
• No first assist duties required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Current Pennsylvania NP license required
