Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide 24-hour on-call orthopedic surgery coverage for the ER
• Manage and treat fractures, dislocations, and other orthopedic emergencies
• Perform general orthopedic procedures, including knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow surgeries
• Conduct follow-up care for patients in the clinic during weekday mornings
• Utilize fluoroscopy for diagnostic and treatment purposes
• Collaborate with ER staff and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner EMR system
• Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and ethical guidelines
• Adapt to the needs of a trauma facility
• Participate in the hospital's trauma response system
• Stay updated on current orthopedic surgery practices and techniques
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
• California temporary fluoroscopy license required (or willingness to obtain immediately)
• Experience in trauma orthopedics and general orthopedic procedures essential
