Barton Associates is seeking a
Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a Laboratory/Diagnostic Center in North Carolina. This 100-day assignment begins on 06/16/2025, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with AP/CP cases and must have completed a pathology fellowship, with acceptable specialties including cytopathology, breast pathology, hematopathology, or other related fields. Experience with Epic and WindowPath systems is preferred, and an active North Carolina medical license is required. This position also the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform anatomic and clinical pathology examinations
• Analyze tissue samples, bodily fluids, and other specimens
• Interpret laboratory results and provide diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize Epic and WindowPath systems for documentation and reporting
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and best practices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pathology techniques and technologies
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Contribute to medical education and training programs as needed
• Attend and participate in relevant meetings and conferences
Additional Information:
• AP/CP Board Certification required
• Completion of pathology fellowship (cytopathology, breast pathology, hematopathology, or related field) necessary
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• Experience with Epic and WindowPath systems preferred
