Experienced Pathologist Needed for Locum Tenens Assignment in Texas
We are seeking a board-certified Pathologist for a 100-day locum tenens position at a Laboratory/Diagnostic Center in Texas. This assignment begins on 05/05/2025 and offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call or weekend duties. The ideal candidate will have board certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), with preferred subspecialty training in surgical and/or cytopathology. This role involves 40 hours per week on-site, focusing on diagnostic services and collaboration with clinical teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform surgical pathology and cytopathology diagnoses
• Conduct gross and microscopic examination of tissue specimens
• Interpret laboratory tests and provide diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with clinical teams to guide patient care decisions
• Utilize WindowPath and Epic systems for reporting and documentation
• Stay current with the latest advancements in pathology
• Provide expertise in subspecialty areas as needed
• Mentor and educate residents and fellows, if applicable
• Contribute to research activities and publications, if desired
Additional Information:
• Texas medical license required
• Board certification in AP or AP/CP required
• Subspecialty training or expertise in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, gynecologic pathology, or gastrointestinal/liver pathology preferred
• Familiarity with WindowPath and Epic systems is beneficial
