Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a Laboratory/Diagnostic Center in Texas. This 80-day assignment begins on 06/23/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with no call or weekend duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of general pathology practice, including surgical pathology, GI pathology, bone marrow analysis, and non-gynecological cytology. This role offers an opportunity to work in a diverse pathology practice using Epic and WindowPath systems, with potential for extension. 


Job Details:

LOA: 80 days 

Provider Type Needed: Pathologist 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (No call, No weekends)


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform surgical pathology examinations  

• Analyze GI pathology specimens  

• Evaluate bone marrow samples 

• Conduct non-gynecological cytology examinations 

• Provide accurate and timely diagnoses 

• Collaborate with other pathologists and healthcare professionals 

• Maintain detailed and accurate pathology reports 

• Utilize Epic and WindowPath systems for record-keeping and reporting 

• Adhere to all laboratory safety and quality control protocols 

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed 

• Stay current with advancements in pathology practices and techniques


Additional Information: 

• Texas medical license required 

• AP/CP board certification mandatory 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general pathology practice 

• Fellowship completion desirable but not required 

• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills essential 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
