Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine for a 42-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Texas. Starting 09/01/2025, this role offers 10-14 shifts per month, with 13-hour shifts available for both day (7am-8pm) and night (7pm-8am) coverage. The position is in a PICU unit, with potential for extension until the end of the year. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis. You'll be working with the Epic electronic health record system and providing critical care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct and document comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations for pediatric patients 

• Provide critical care services in a PICU unit

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination 

• Adapt to both day and night shift schedules as needed 

• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and treatments 

• Stay current with the latest advancements in pediatric critical care medicine
