We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Dentist for an 8-day locum tenens position in Michigan. This assignment begins on 3/9/2024 and offers a Monday to Thursday schedule from 7:40 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing comprehensive pediatric dental care, including sealants, fillings, stainless steel crowns (SSC), extractions, and space maintainers. This role requires efficiency and expertise in managing a diverse range of pediatric dental procedures.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:40 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care 

• Perform sealant applications to prevent tooth decay 

• Conduct fillings for cavities in primary and permanent teeth 

• Place stainless steel crowns (SSC) when necessary 

• Perform extractions of primary and permanent teeth as needed 

• Install space maintainers to preserve proper tooth alignment 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software 

• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care 

• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient patient flow 

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols 

Additional Information: 

• Michigan dental license required 

• Board certification in Pediatric Dentistry preferred 

• Proficiency in Dentrix dental practice management software is beneficial 

• Strong communication skills for interacting with children and parents
