Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in California. This 60-day assignment begins on 06/11/2025, with a schedule of 8 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing a wide range of pediatric cases, including preventive visits, well-child checks, sick visits, chronic and acute issues, sports physicals, and newborn care. Experience with special needs children and ADHD follow-ups is required. There is also a chance for an extension with this opportunity.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm 


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct well-child visits and preventive care appointments 

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions 

• Perform sports physicals and other routine examinations 

• Provide care for newborns and infants 

• Manage and follow up on ADHD cases 

• Offer specialized care for children with special needs 

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Utilize Nextgen EHR and Dragon dictation software for documentation 

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric medicine best practices and treatment guidelines


Requirements: 

• Active California state license 

• Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner 

• Experience in managing diverse pediatric patient populations 

• Proficiency in newborn care and special needs pediatrics 

• Familiarity with ADHD management and follow-ups 

• Experience with Nextgen EHR and Dragon dictation software 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
