Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a 100-day locum tenens position at a Multi-specialty Clinic in California. This assignment begins on 03/31/2025 and offers a varied schedule from Tuesday to Saturday. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with typical pediatric outpatient work, including managing cough, fever, feeding issues, conducting annual physicals, and administering immunizations. The patient population primarily consists a mix of scheduled visits and some walk-ins for acute symptoms. This role requires expertise in pediatric care and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community setting.

Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner 

Schedule: Tuesday (10am-7pm), Wednesday-Friday (8am-4:30pm), Saturday (9am-3pm)


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct pediatric outpatient visits for both acute and routine care 

• Perform annual physicals and developmental screenings 

• Administer and manage immunization schedules 

• Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions such as cough, fever, and feeding issues 

• Provide patient and family education on child health, nutrition, and preventive care 

• Manage walk-in patients with acute symptoms 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks EHR 

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in a multi-specialty setting 

• Stay current with the latest developments in pediatric care 

• Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety standards 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed


Additional Information: 

• California Nurse Practitioner license required 

• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification preferred 

• Fluency in Spanish is highly beneficial 

• Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus 

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EHR system is advantageous
