Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a 48-day locum tenens position at multiple urgent care locations within a hospital system in Georgia. The assignment begins on 06/09/2025, with flexible scheduling options including weekdays from 11 AM to 9 PM and weekends from 9 AM to 7 PM. The ideal candidate will work 4-5 shifts per 7-day stretch, with the possibility of 2-3 weeks per month. This role involves providing pediatric urgent care services including flu, strep, suturing, laceration repair, X-ray interpretation, lab work, and splinting. The position may also involve handling some pediatric ER-type cases.

Provider Type Needed: Pediatrician 

Schedule: M-F 11 AM - 9 PM, Sat/Sun 9 AM - 7 PM (4-5 shifts per week)


Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive pediatric urgent care services 

• Perform flu, strep, and COVID-19 testing 

• Conduct suturing and laceration repairs (up to one layer of skin deep) 

• Interpret X-rays and manage moderately complex lab work 

• Perform splinting procedures as needed 

• Handle some pediatric ER-type cases 

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric urgent care 

• Demonstrate flexibility in working at multiple urgent care locations 

• Manage a diverse range of pediatric urgent care cases


Additional Information: 

• Georgia state medical license required 

• Strong experience in pediatric urgent care essential 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care setting 

• Comfort with handling a variety of pediatric cases, including some ER-type situations
